Gcse maths revision for resit

DD had a terrible lockdown battling depression and undiagnosed ADHD. She's much better and medicated now but year 9&10 were pretty much a write off. She worked so hard in year 11 to try to claw things back and actually did ok (8/7/6 gcse grades) with the exception of maths where she got a 4. It's her worst subject and frankly she'd missed so much that it wasn't possible to make up the missing knowledge.
School are putting her in for the January resit as she needs a 5 minimum. However they aren't offering much support (one lesson a week) and I don't think that'll be enough. DD is trying to do her own revision but her basic knowledge us so shakey and her confidence so low that she needs support.
Can anyone recommend any online tutors/ lessons or even face to face holiday revision courses (we are in London)

DD used Uplearn for A level maths as she needed an A
She was v determined and did hours and hours of it
It's exam board specific, does tutorials on each topic, worked examples and then exercises.
There are various packages- eg 1:1 support 24/7 available if you need help or questions answered by them online etc - she had premium package but looking back we needn't have bothered with that.

It worked v well for her. She got an A and said they were the best maths exams she'd ever done! She had been getting B's and some C's and a D in school assessments before she started on this.

Choose this over a tutor as she could cover all curriculum and use it to suit herself time wise.

Good luck

Off topic, but is there a January resit for Maths GCSE?
I thought it was November or June these days?

That's worrying. The school definitely said January. I will check.

Agree with @TeenDivided - what board is this? GCSE resits are in November - so AQA and Edexcel (perhaps the two most popular boards) are on 1 and 3 Nov.

If it is iGCSE (for example Pearson EdExcel iGCSE) then there is a sitting in Jan (10 and 17 Jan). Is this a private school OP (makes iGCSE more likely)?

It is private and she did do igcse apparently. Phew.
I've looked at uplearn and it's just A level sadly. Looks great though

Hello, there.
Try the 'Justin Craig' company. They offer revision classes.
Or a tutor.
What part of London? N, E, S, W, NW etc?
Hope that helps.

We've used Tutorful for online tutors, but I think you can also find f2f tutors on there as well.

If you can get her a tutor do, but get her to do loads and loads of past papers as revision.

MathGenie is a good site for them and has the marking papers too.

It will quickly become apparent what she is struggling with and she can watch YouTube videos on those subjects.
