Hello
Does anyone know about the 11 plus at ST Edmunds in Haslemere Surrey . I cannot find nothing on line but can for the Royal school .
Both schools have there own tests and an activity on the day for the child to do .

can anyone advise me on this please .
I have been giving my daughter test papers for a mix of 11 plus papers and sats tests which 11 plus she’s answered half and half she hasn’t being she hasnt even touched the work yet as not in Year 6 as of yet . That worries me abit .

Also I’m not sure if my partner and I can afford the term school fees and hoping for a Bursary which may help towards the fees or maybe the whole cost ?. Does anyone have any info on Bursaries forms on this school please ?
If all parents that didn’t have the means of paying for private school had the attitude of I cannot afford my child to go but He / She is academic then these children wouldn’t get to go to private school in my eyes of being a parent every child that’s academic should have the chance to shine .
What do private schools / us mums class as being Academic ? . Getting all the work done before other children in the class ? Work too easy for them ? School reports from Infants / Junior school being on track on every subject every school year / age above in some subjects and on the levels they should be on for there age ? . Or there levels up n down below standard on age level above levels every school year ?
Very confused mum

any help ?

There is info on the St Ed's website about entrance tests, but it does suggest parents phone the school admissions officer for the latest information, because things might be different because of Covid. The normal arrangement seems to be taster days in the autumn and tests in January.

On the subject of bursaries, the website says
that the school will require a 'confidential statement of financial circumstances' and that details of the bursary policy and process are available on request. I would definitely ask to see the policy and process - they should give you a good idea of whether or not you are likely to qualify. Then phone if you have any queries.

Good luck!

PS neither school has the reputation locally of being particularly academically selective so I'd expect a bright child to have no difficulty getting an offer. Getting a bursary is another matter I suspect.
