I have not posted for years but I am at my wits end and worried!
Dd2 has missed at least 2 terms of school, we are in Scotland and like everyone else due to lock down she missed the last half of p7 and the first half of first year. When they returned to school she was bullied for standing up for someone and was isolated for approx 6 months. I knew something was up and kept asking her but she kept saying everything was fine and was going to school as normal. In the summer holidays she broke down and told everything and said she didn't wish to return to that school. So we moved her to the other secondary school for a fresh start. First term was brilliant she made lots of friends and loved school, then she became unwell with her stomach and the gp thought she had coeliac so had to go for scopes and appointments, she was often to unwell to attend school. The results came back that she has ibs and chronic fatigue and advised to build routine back into her day, ie attend school part time.
She is now anxious about school and missing loads! I don't feel school are taking things seriously and I have been asking for meetings/school work/ support but have had very little.
Does anyone have any advice?
Sorry for the essay!
