Hi all!

Would anyone recommend the best 5 prep schools in Central London for boy? Thank you!

Best by what measure?? Is he academic? Sporty? Musical? How old is he? Where do you live? I see similar questions on here and groan - finding the right school for your child when you have the luxury of choice should start with the child rather than a big name school that might be an awful fit.

There is no single 'best' - what sort of things do you value most in education?

Also, which side of London do you live? Ease of journey really matters for younger pupils and their parents (who need either to accompany them, or pay someone to do that). People might have different ideas about what counts as 'central' and also it might cut out prep es which are well into zone 2 but easy to reach from where you live

Good question!
I have stumbled upon a charming little school called St Philips (Gloucester Road). Does anyone know much about it beyond what I can find out on their website?

Thanks for your reply!

My son is turning 4 and we are living in Chelsea. I'm pregnant right now so would like to find a school which is nearby.

We didn't register any schools for him when he was born, we only got the offer from EA right now, having said that EA is not that down to earth? So we wanna see if there is any other academic schools. He is an outgoing boy and eager to learn.

Yes, agree with you, there is no single "best". We are seeking for an academic school which provides all round development with easy access. That will be great if it's close to our home as I'm pregnant right now and I feel tired easily, can't even drive more than 30mins...Blush
