this is a brilliant site to teach yourself html if you have any ICT whizkids - have recommnded it to talented year 6 children before - brilliant

this is THE site you need if you are baffled by the way in which your child is taught maths. There are brilliant sheets to help you to understand what they are doing so that you can help them. Also ideas of activites you can do with your child

the same site as above but the right part for helping your child with calculations

ambleweb - brilliant games etc - but looks like it is undergoing changes at the moment

this is a teachers site but lets you see what KS1 pupils should be doing in literacy

a teachers site but lets you know what KS2 pupils should be doing in literacy

bbc schools page - all age groups - links to all subjects...more specifc favourites coming up

bbc schools KS1 links

bbc schools ks3 and 4 links

onion street - homework help

bbc reviswise - practice for Year 6 SATS - excellent site

bbc again - info for parents about a variety of education issues

bbc subject related games - lots of topics - interesting

all bbc revision help - ks3 bitesize - practice quizzes, gcse, scottish highers, welsh gcse revision guides, help with as level course work - very good and fun too

my favourite bbc site - interactive site to learn about rivers and coasts - brilliant

excellent online free touch typing programme that I have used with 9 year olds upwards - worth looking at before forking out for cd roms

Thank you, popsy -- that looks great, as I'm always looking for stuff to keep dd1 happy.

By way of modest return, I can recommend Enchanted Learning which has lots fantastic activities and printouts. Most of it is free, but if you pay a modest subscription you get access to loads more, and in banner-free format.
