Just wondering if anyone has seen any figures anywhere that compare 2020 grades predicted v grades awarded to last years grades predicted v awarded?

I haven't seen a comparison to last year's predicted grades. However, the 2020 predicted grades were massively up on last year's awarded grades. For example, 38% were predicted to get A or A* compared to 25.2% last year.

At our school percentage of A*/A has DOUBLED compared to last year's results. ...

I don't know the answer but our school put up the names of children with all As which was half the number last year. I don't know about total numbers of As in the year

Do you mean UCAS predictions vs awarded grades? That's the only meaningful comparison you could do, as the teacher-assessed grades (CAGs) only happened this year, and they are very different from the UCAS predictions. If you mean UCAS predictions, then I don't know, although I've seen a figure bandied about that only 16% generally hit their UCAS predictions - I don't know if that's 16% of individual grades, or 16% of students get exactly the same as all their predictions, or 16% get the same as or higher than all their predictions. There have been a lot of woolly statistics chucked around during this whole situation!

yes. Every year people miss their grades. I just wondered how the algorithm given grades compared to other years.
