I would like to know what other parents opinions are on sending your child(ren) back to school w/c 29th June.

I have 3dc in primary school, they have been given 2hours and 45 minutes each 1 day per week for 4 weeks (1 on Monday, 1 on Tuesday and 1 on Wednesday).

Would you accept or decline this offer?
(There is no right or wrong answer)

I'm not sure if bother for that small amount of time tbh.

I wouldn't mind them being on different days as it would actually be quite nice to have time with them on an individual basis but not just for less than half a day.

Having said all that, do you think they will benefit from it, depending on their age and/or personality?

In North Wales here, my yr2 child has been offered 2 full days (8.55 - 2.45) during the 4 weeks.
Keyworker here so he can access the school, but have only needed to him in twice so far due to scheduling my work around husbands.

Unless my children really wanted to I wouldn't send them back in for such a short amount of time. It'd be chaos against my work schedule.

Our schools have offered one day each for the last 3 weeks of term. Secondary school closes an hour early, primary school haven't confirmed their timings yet. If it's similar to secondary I will probably send them in.

Almost a full school day will probably do them good. I see half a day as more disruptive to be honest.

We have got 1 day a week for year 8 ds. Just had to say if we want transport and it seems that will be very different, and they will have an allocated seat. My ds needs to see friends and get out of the house and in our part of wales we have and have had very few cases so risk is low.

I suppose it depends on how your kids are about going back to school, and if you can fit it in drop offs around work etc.

We've not been given the plan yet, the school have just asked for expressions of interest about whether we'd be happy to send kids back, so they have an idea of numbers.

From my own point of view, we could work around those drop offs and pick ups. I'm also keen for my kids to go back just to remind them that school is still there and they will be going back at some point. I think they need that phased return the Welsh way seems to be offering. I've only got two kids and from a totally selfish point of view, it would make my life easier if they went on the same days. But I suppose, if you have to do the whole 'Get to school' routine for one child, it would help your other kids to get used to the routine again too.
