Back to school -dual economy?

Before the schools closed, parents who had withdrawn their children were clamouring for work to be sent home, but the school was form -there could not be a 'dual economy'
I am wondering if a return to school could actually be just that, so teachers and pupils go back into school, and those whose parents want to keep them at home have work set and delivered remotely by teachers who want to stay home?
Obviously just a thought experiment but at least it would mean that most of us could get back to a kind of normality.

It sounds good but it's a logistical nightmare.

For a start, what about teachers who have their own children? Their own underlying health issues? How do you make sure that there's no progress gaps between those in school and those at home? Are staff going to be expected to do hours of private tutoring to make up for weeks at home? What would be in place to stop people half attending and half staying at home?

I'm not sure what the answer is but a half and half every man for themselves approach isn't it.

Too many ifs and buts here.

What about social distancing?

So that would be
1 fully differentiated lesson for those that turn up
+
x amount of fully differentiated lessons with extra instructions for pupils and parents.
+
x completely different lessons for practical subjects.
+
all the other issues that surround protecting pupils and staff from the virus.
