Our teachers haven't even hidden their profiles. I can see their holiday snaps.... not pretty.

TellusMater · 03/09/2007 14:50

Um. Pushy-ish then I suppose.

Am a laid-back mum, but probably because ds is only just 6 and dd isn't at school yet.

And no grammars around here.

Will see when he gets to secondary and I am on home turf as it were...

We already have a sweepstake to see which mum will be in to complain first. Meals are the top subject, who is sitting on which table comes a close second.

foxinsocks · 03/09/2007 14:52

oh olive, neither of mine started school being able to write (in fact, ds started school not drawing!).

Pushy mums

always get the front row in assemblies and bagsy seats for all their pushy mates

are always harping on about how the homework is too easy

LaCod · 03/09/2007 14:52

Cod I'm not that stupid! What did happen to that poor soul who linked to her work night out?

Gudgeon · 03/09/2007 14:54

ladymuch, if you were really pushy, that would be homemade fudge your DC had made, wouldn't it?

ladymuck · 03/09/2007 14:54

OH yes, they'll have phoned the school udirng the summer to find out how to join the pta.

ladymuck · 03/09/2007 14:55

I have seen children cook. I do not want the teacher out of school due to food poisoning. Unless she is crap. But I don't know that yet as she is new.

seeker · 03/09/2007 14:57

I've done the checking other kid's reading books when they come to tea, Pollyanna!

Gudgeon · 03/09/2007 14:59

When your DC has been in the highest reading group going for months, and finally another child from the class joins him or her - you congratulate the other child's mother in the sweetest, most patronising tones you can muster...

LaCod · 03/09/2007 17:54

"are always harping on about how the homework is too easy"

Oh yes. I hate that too. Especially when my reply tends to be a panic- sticken "Homework? What homework?" on a Monday morning.

alycat · 03/09/2007 18:13

You check all the addresses on the new class contact list to see who lives in the best areas.

Smithagain · 04/09/2007 22:28

You get all excited about your child going into year 1 because she will get more homework. (No, not me, but someone I know IRL)

kindersurprise · 04/09/2007 22:45

you put your unborn child's name down for English lessons (in Germany)

No joke, I have my first foetus pupil!
