Yr6 leaving presents?

Just wondering if your school gives the year 6 children a leaving gift before they move to secondary, to mark the end of their time at primary?
If so, what do they get?
Just looking for (last minute) ideas!
Thanks.

personalised pens. my dd got one like this and it has year 6 leavers on line 1, class of 2019 on line 2, and her school name on line 3. it's something they can use when they go to secondary x

Outs got a print of a number 6 in a frame. The 6 was made up of all the names in the class hand written in nice calligraphy.

I got a bible when I left primary about 100 years ago! (Church school)

I don't think DD got anything Confused Maybe a nice photo of her class and a certificate, there definitely wasn't anything significant. All her artwork and other various pieces from over the years got handed back

But her school wasn't exactly the sentimental type...

Certificate and I know quite a few schools give pens.

The parents did a yearbook and jumper we also paid for.

The school only gave all of them a copy of the class photo where they fooled around, so a lot funnier than the official one offered to the parents to buy.

no 6 filled with relevant words, pta did a year book, kids made patents a paper rose with a thank you note to patents

School gave ours a mug with the school logo and 'Leavers 2018' on.
Parents organised a year book and leavers' hoodie that we paid for. All added up though.

Funnily enough OP I happened upon DS's only yesterday, gathering dust in a box of books. It was a science book but pitched at about Yr 7/8 level so long since outgrown (and therefore not particularly useful). I think an English dictionary is a boring but long-term useful present. Or maybe a classic novel?

DS's teacher bought little autograph books and wrote a personal note in each one, then they got them signed like other schools do with shirts.

A teacher I know in a really deprived area brought all of his a pencil case and basic stationery because he knew for a lot of them getting everything for secondary was going to be a struggle.
