Anyone dropped their child at a grammar school entrance exam?

I’m so nervous for her, the thought of having volunteered her for an exam designed to have most of the children fail it doesn’t sit well with me at all today. We only have three weeks to wait for the results which is something I suppose.

This is the worst day.. In a couple of hours, you will collect her and the worst is over. Don't mention the waiting to her at all and maybe go see the alternative schools that aren't selective?

Yep. We had two papers on 2 days. All done now. Results sent out on 12 th here. Have loooke at other schools and still not decided. However what was lovely was her and two friends walked in holding hands...

Alternatively....some have to get in. I remember dropping DS1 some years ago at his super selective Grammar exam some years ago. The line of kids was so long I suggested leaving it & going for breakfast! DS was adamant he wanted to give it a go. Very glad he did.

I did - DC2 - remember dropping DC1 for his 3 years ago so clearly. We’ve 3 weeks wait too. Hope all went well.

I thought it was just me earlier! She was unperturbed and I have so many treats planned in the next 3 eeks it will go quickly. She doesn't know when the results are out but I am assuming her friends do.

I think mine knows when results are out and is over-conscious of his brother which makes me more anxious than first time round!

Yes, I do feel bad for the parents doing it for the second time, regardless of whether their child is successful or not, someone will feel worse than in my house come results day if they're different.
