Mid morning snack

Just a query.
Usually DD yr5 has her morning snack break at 10.30. Literacy lesson before, Maths after.
Lunch is at 12.15.

She has had a new teacher since beginning of this term.
Today she declared that she was putting Maths before break.

DDs morning went like this:
Literacy
Maths
Morning break 11.30
Lunch 12.15

This doesn't sit right with me. I do not understand why this has been changed.
It is only her class that has changed this. The rest of school had their break at 10.30 as usual.

As a teacher, does this sound plausible to you.
As a parent, is this something you would ignore?

I am really struggling to decide if this is an issue or if I should just ignore.

Was it just a one off?

Are you concerned about the actual break or 'having a snack' - surely no one needs a snack mid morning, particularly if lunch is at 12.15? Hmm

Does she not have playtime with the rest of the school? That's when our kids eat their snack

I imagine it’s becajse the children were concentrating better in the morning. What did the teacher say when you asked for more information?

I was at work so I never got to see teacher.
Dd loves school. She always has. This teacher seems to be changing things around so much that her class are becoming miserable. I am not that Mum. However, I am getting very worried about her methods. DD is now getting upset before school as this teacher has taken a fairly well behaved class and seems to be grinding them down. She even had a go at my DD (for context DD has never ever been told off in school)! DD was told to sit up straight. I asked DD if she was slouching. She said she probably was. I said in that case you sit up in school. DD said she had to sit so straight her back hurt! DD has a good posture and usually hold herself up straight.

@Nothisispatrick no, the rest of school had break at 10.30. DD's teacher decided that they will have their break 45 mins before lunch on their own - away from rest of school.

@Ragwort I am not so concerned with mid morning snack, DD was hungry but 45 mins wasn't going to make much difference. I am more concerned that this teacher is making up her own rules and DD and her class mates are all starting to suffer.

DD has had some strict teachers before, I have always told her that you accept it and follow rules! Right now I am hearing new things every day and this teacher is nothing like I have come across before.

Again, I am all for ignoring it and encouraging DD to just do what is expected of her, however I am tired of daily tears from my DD who is usually up at 6am excited for a day of learning.
