Rosemead Prep

Hi,
DD is very timid in new situations or with big groups. She takes a long time to interact with others, though she's very chatty at home. Were wondering whether smaller class sizes (private pre prep for reception) would make a difference? Looking specifically at Rosemead Prep (compared to state school, 3 form entry).

Where are you based? Rosemead is nice. Also a really lovely small and very nurturing school is Broomwoood Hall in Garrad's road, Streatham. Amazing head there. Have a look at both

Avoid Broomwood. It is small but we didn't find it in any way nurturing. Completely destroyed our slightly timid daughter's confidence. Streatham & Clapham Prep is lovely and very nurturing if you don't mind single sex.

Nessler, have you asked for a tour? I've been to their open day a few years ago (at the old church site). it certainly seemed nurturing.

Hi Nessler, I'd love to hear if you'd had any further thoughts on this, of if anyone else has any info. I'm also considering Rosemead as an option for my daughter & want to be sure it's a nurturing and fun environment.

DD has a place, we are still waiting on state offers but likely to go ahead with Rosemead for the smaller class size and access to music etc as part of the school day. Any other thoughts are still welcome!

I’ve had a couple of friends go through Rosemead with their kids (2 girls, 2 boys, all at secondary now) and both parents and kids loved it.
