Hi, St Thomas Moore is not private, you just have to have confirmation from your church etc. Voluntary aided means that the church give the school some money to run it, and therefore have some input into the running of the school. Thomas Moore is a really good school! After that, there is Notre Dame High School in the city centre, again v good, state school with catholics having priority to places.

The area Thomas Moore is in is a lovely area, the best residential area in Norwich, in terms of v low crime, lovely parks, lots of familys and nice victorian terrace houses. The area to house hunt is NR2, between Unthank and Earlham road, known as the golden triangle. Good roads are college rd, glebe rd, jessopp rd, swansea rd, cradiff rd, caernarvon rd, denbigh rd, park lane, and others around there. Look up avenue rd on multimap. it's right in the middle of the area!

Also, should have said, the best bit is inside the inner ring road, colman rd, the outer area is mainly local authority housing. It is pricey for Norwich, though probably not compared to London! 3 bed step in terrace (no hall ) around £140 000, hall entrance/semi detached from £240 000, hope this helps!
