I liked several of my teachers at primary school. If i have to pick one i will say my form teacher/head of sixth form. I wasn't taught by her in the sixth form but we just got on with her and she had a good sense of humour. I was taught by her lower down the school and i didn't do too well in her subject but i will be forever grateful to her for gently opening my eyes to other ways of thinking than the Daily Mail values i had been brought up with.

My primary one teacher ( 5 years old). She has the same second name as me So I thought she was my dad's sister for about half the year. 😂😂😂
She was such a lovely happy person

Probably my Latin Teacher - he's one of the few I'd cross the road to talk to years and years later
I hated Latin and did appallingly in his classes
but he was a good person

I just looked him up online - he died aged only 74 a couple of years ago
but the multiple obituaries online (he was famous for his non school hobby) are lovely.

My teacher the last year of primary school. I was brought up on a council estate where many people were unemployed and he really instilled a love of learning in me and made me feel like the world was my oyster. I was the first in my family to go to university and he was the one who made me believe I could do it

I would have to say my humanities teacher.
He was one of the very few who didn't treat you like babies/idiots and allowed all sorts of quite adult discussions . I really enjoyed those lessons.

I think most people did because even when people disagreed with eachother There was no messing around laughing or shouting. Everyone got to put across their views and also gave others a chance to put across theres.

He was great.

My last teacher in primary back in 1968, he made a lasting impression on me and inspired me to become a teacher.

My year 6/top junior's teacher; she was ace. She snapped at me once, then sought me out later in the middle of mass to apologise. This was in the days when not every grown up felt that children deserve respect too.

Thinking back, my maths teacher as she was the one who totally believed in me. I liked my french teacher (hated the subject) and he was the one teacher who stopped me in the corridor when my DF was seriously ill and asked me if I was ok and made it clear I could talk to him, I now really appreciate that as no one higher up or my form tutor had commented.

Mr Campbell. GCSE Geography. He sadly passed away from a brain tumour at age 46. Best teacher I've ever had or met.

My y1 and 2 teacher. She was ridiculously strict but we all knew how much she cared about us all. I was so happy to get her for 2 years.
She taught me that strict doesn't mean nasty. Years later i was reading a blog online about a strict school and thry said their discipline is a sign of caring. It reminded me of her.
I make my classes pack away and be dismissed in exactly the way she did with us. I'd love to see her now.Grin

I had a teacher in year 2. I wouldn't say she was my favourite teacher, but what stands out is that i still remember so much of what we learned with her. I remember two books she read to us (The Little Wooden Horse and The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.) I could still sing lovely songs we learned word for word from Time and Tune now. (1970s.) I remember topics on the Dinosaurs and Holland. I remember a lot that happened. I remember going to London zoo and doing a project and poem about it. I remember us all walking to the library with her. I don't remember much we did with other primary teachers. She must have put so much effort into making it an enriching experience and she did a bloody good job. So much has stayed with me!
