Hi

I'm considering here for my baby (I can't believe how early you have to consider these things). We are in Mill Hill and I'm a little concerned about the traveling. Do children come from a large catchment? How far does the minibus service extend and how early can you use it? The website suggests you need to apply two full years in advance. Is this indicative of people's experience or marketing? Are current mums happy they went for a prep. rather than somewhere all throug?. I'm keen on a very religious Catholic school but don't know if I'd better trying for Habs or NLCS for location and continuity. I read some glowing comments on other threads and hoping for some insider knowledge.

Hello

I don't know St Christina's but if you are looking for a Catholic girls' school, it might also be worth looking at St Anthony's School for girls (Golders Green).

Thank you so much. I was unaware that this school had opened. Do you have a daughter there? If so could I ask you some questions?

I'm afraid I don't (my daughter is still at preschool). I have seen the boys' school and was very impressed. They also let you register without paying the £100 (or whatever) fee - that only gets paid once you've been round the school.

Tbh, St. Christina's is not worth the journey. St. Anthony's is building a great reputation and parents there seem to be very happy. Go and have a look around. It is definitely worth considering from a social aspect too; you don't want to be travelling miles in the rush hour every time your dd has a play date.

Hi. I am sorry I can not help but I would like to ask if somebody can answer this question : which one do you think that it is more academic St. Christina's or St. Anthony's for boys? I have a boy in St. Christina's but I do not know too much about schools in the U.K. Thank you

St. Anthony's is geared up for boys up to the age of 13, so there is none of the angst at age 7 when they have to leave St. Christina's and try to get into other schools. Very stressful believe me! I think that's probably why there are so few boys there after nursery/reception. St. Anthony's gets excellent results academically and produces well-rounded, polite and independent boys.

Hi mm12Mm,
My 5 yo son has been to st Christina's until this academic year and he will go to st Anthony's in September 17. The overall in st Ch is very good but just 3 children remained for year 1 so we decided to go to st Anthony's. We live in SJW.
