Head cheated on SATS!

I have been having a VERY hard time with my daughter's primary school, to the point where I've removed her for her own wellbeing.
My neighbour has given me information that her son and another child in his class were given the ANSWERS to the SATS test by their teacher (who is now the head) when he sat them 4 years ago. This woman is being hailed as some kind of miracle worker when in reality she is a manipulative, lying, cheating bully. What the heck do I do with this information now?

Nothing. It is hearsay and you need do nothing with it.

Mothervulva · 05/05/2017 10:43

Agree, nothing.

WelliesAndPyjamas · 05/05/2017 10:45

It's second/third/more hand gossip. If it had been a concern to the neighbour they would have made a complaint about it at the time - did they complain?

Efferlunt · 05/05/2017 10:45

That's just gossip. You can't prove it and no one would take a complaint from you seriously. Sorry

GivenupontheGarden · 05/05/2017 11:22

You haven't got any information to do anything about. Just idle chatter from someone probably trying to show off. Did you ask how come it was only her son and his friends that were given the answers Hmm

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 05/05/2017 11:26

If you were to report it, it would go to the Standards and Testing Agency who would investigate and could potentially annul the results. However after 4 years there is likely to be little evidence - just the word of a neighbour wouldn't be enough and although suspected maladministration is taken very seriously and forensic analysis of documents is done as well as a full investigation, it really wouldn't be a good use of public funds to investigate something so long ago. I wouldn't report - although I may if it were the same year.

You'd nothing. It's gossip. You have no evidence. Your friend chose not to raise it at the time

Ohmuther · 05/05/2017 11:41

Thank you. I'm going to raise a complaint with the LEA but only in relation to the appalling behaviour of the school in relation to my child. I will ask my neighbour if she wishes to pursue a separate investigation of exam malpractice through OFQUAL.

Agree this is not a fact, just gossip, you will look like a loon if you try to report something you heard via the grapevine.

AndNoneForGretchenWieners · 05/05/2017 12:10

Ofqual will only pass it to the Standards & Testing Agency. It's not a public exam so they won't be able to do anything about it.

GivenupontheGarden · 05/05/2017 12:28

I'm puzzled why you would think you're neighbour will be interested in filing an exam malpractice complaint? If she wanted to she has had 4yrs to do so. It obviously benefited her child so why would she want to compromise that?

I think it best to focus on your DD, this is where you have good grounds for a complaint, although seeing as you've now removed your child from the school I'm not sure what you will get out of it, but all dep eds what the matter is I suppose. It could benefit others at the school.

harderandharder2breathe · 05/05/2017 13:23

Focus on your own complaint regarding the treatment of your child.

Anything else is just gossip.

BlueEyeGreenEye · 05/05/2017 13:33

Your fiends obviously isn't going to want to put a complain in, it benefitted her child? Also, it's not fact so I wouldn't take it too seriously.

mrsBeverleygoldberg · 05/05/2017 13:38

Why have you removed your dd from school?

CaulkheadNorth · 05/05/2017 13:39

You sound hellbent on taking the school down through any means available.

2014newme · 05/05/2017 14:12

I think any investigation would consider why your friend didn't raise a complaint in the intervening 4 years 🙄
