Definition of Transgender?

My definition of a woman is "a person without a Y-Chromosome"
According to Transgender Theory, a person with a Y-chromosome can be a woman.
So, they must have a different definition of the word "woman"
Can anyone clarify what this is?

For me - a woman is an adult hunan female, you know the ones that menstruate, grow babies, birth them etc. A Transwoman is different - a male who thinks/feels/wants to be a woman.

i'm interested if and how this is dealt with educationally in our schools.

Why are you only seemingly talking about transwomen?

Pressed post too soon, obviously it goes the same for man and Transman. I'm still interested as a parent how schools will deal with this subject if it comes up.

Women are not non-men. This sounds an awful lot like 'women are people without a penis'. The Y chromosome is not some magic thing you either have or 'lack'. You are (in almost all cases) either XX or XY. Not 'with or missing a Y'. Perhaps the way you phrased it is not actually the way you think about it, though.

The Oxford English Dictionary defines a woman as an adult human female.

It defines female as " of or denoting the sex that can bear offspring or produce eggs, distinguished biologically by the production of gametes (ova) which can be fertilized by male gametes.".
