Does your school primary or seniors live upto it's moto?

My daughters c of e infants has a moto of 3 words it's failed to live up to this month with recent actions.

With many schools run as academies/ business models I see so many glossy prospectus with its moto or mission statement.

Some over the years of 3 children have been a bit washy small hands big world perhaps the weirdest.

Are these buzz words important and underpin everything the school does or are they just there make school look good as one of the words is caring I mean shouldn't every school be caring?

My school motto was 'Great Oaks From Little Acorns Grow', in Latin.

I have put a stone or three on since I left, so I suppose I have sort of lived up to it Grin

The school itself was bulldozed a few years ago, after being in special measures for a long time.

Should a school be accountable to its motto? Should parents take the school motto as a sort of sub-title describing the essence of a school's objectives and/or ethos?

AChickenCalledKorma That´s pretty funny, really, with a horrible irony. I guess they think no one will notice(!)
