Is there such a thing as part time schooling?

That's it basically...
My dd has autism and has anxiety & sensory issues and she misses a lot of school because of it. I don't feel I am being supported by the school as all they say is force her into school any way possible and I just can't do that, I can't physically get her into the car for a start and then they send me letters threatening some sort of action Shock.
I want to change schools in September (she's in year 3 now so it would be year 4 that she starts) and I would like her to go maybe 3 days out of 5 and the other 2 days I will teach her at home. Is this possible? Are we allowed to do that?

Children can attend school part time as long as it is agreed between the LA, parents and the school. It's not something that is done commonly but is sometimes used with children with SN who are struggling to cope with school. It's normally used as a temporary measure. DS was put on a part timetable for 1 term while he transitioned into a new school and helped him to settle in.
I think what you are suggesting is Flexi schooling which i don't have any experience of.
Does your dd have a statement of SEN or an EHCP?
