Am I crazy to move for an "alternative" school?

I would love my children to go to a more outdoor/green school. I have found one that looks really interesting and is also Montessori. The problem is that we live in London and the school is near East Grinstead (i.e. small town). Would it be crazy to move from inner London to let them have the opportunity to go to this beautiful place? DH and I would both need to get new jobs, and my knowledge/skill-base is mostly urban! DH is a teacher though, so should be able to find something suitable.

Well....yes. Unless the new school is also close to an equally excellent secondary school and you have jobs lined up....yes you would be crazy!

if you think you can set jobs up easily...and there's a good secondary too...then go for it.

Not crazy as long as you would also be likely to be happy living there-have jobs, friends, house, things nearby that interest you etc. It would be worth fully investigating the school, visiting, speaking to parents and being sure you'd get in before going any further obviously.

Depends on if you generally think London is not where you want your children to grow up. Move just for a primary school probably not, move for better quality of family life go for it.
