Level 4 diploma - what does that mean?

There's a professional qualification I've been asked to do that's described as a Level 4 diploma. Can someone tell me what level that's pitched at as an "equivalent" to something I've heard of? I have O-levels, A-levels and an honours degree, where would it sit among them?

It is equivalent to year 1 of a degree

Oh dear, I was hoping I might be able to wing it!

Thank you.

It's equivalent to a degree - I've a level 5 qualification (a masters degree)

But it's entirely possible they've rejigged it?

Oh stop, I'm getting more scared.

It's only a one year course. It can't be equivalent to a full degree, can it?

My level 4 qualification counted as 60 points towards a foundation degree which I think was a level 5 and was 240 points. Although I'm doubting myself now, it was a few years ago...

According to Wiki a Masters Degree is level 7 and a honours degree is level 6.

It says level 4 is equivalent to Certificates of Higher Education, but I don't know what they are, somewhere between A Level and degree I suppose, as A-level is level 3.

Anyway, I think I've established I'm going to have to work for it!

They've definitely changed it then

I'm smarter today then than 8 years ago Grin

This explains it quite well.
