You need to see what your school's complaints policy is. Governors are responsible for the strategic direction of a school, so if it's "niggles" that you have, you really need to be resolving those with the Head.

The governors do not have the remit to deal with this kind of thing.

The chair of governors will be the person who deals with a complaint made against the Head. But not 'niggles' that are informal.

You need to resolve the issues with the Head.

The school should have a complaints policy and it should be followed. Governors won't want to know if it hasn't

The Governors should just check that the correct procedures are been followed.

If you raise a niggle, you should be referred to the complaints policy by any governor who you approach. The policy is there to protect both you and the school, to ensure that you are both dealt with fairly.

Depending on what you want to get out of it, you really do need to understand at some point early on in proceedings, the Head will be told that an issue has been raised and they will have the right to know who has raised the issue.
