I know they have recently been published as a general trend however looking for individual break downs...I hestitate to say league tables because the two schools we are looking at a hugely different in intake so I know one will 'perform' better in a table. Just looking for general trends really

Presume you mean primary? I THINK they're published in January.

spanieleyes · 06/09/2014 11:36

i think they come out in November

Although I've just found a site that says December!!
Perhaps we could compromise on "end of the year" Grin

It's usually in December but previous years will be available online.

Thanks all. We have to submit options by Jan. I guess I could ask schools for a breakdown

They won't be able to tell you either with 100% certainty as there is much jiggery-pokery goes on to standardise the results. They will have the raw data though and previous years data will be available online so you can get a feel for their track record.

There was a study done a few years back on secondary school results and their use in picking a school for a new entrant. They found that using current school results to predict how well a child will do in 5 or 6 years time was as accurate as sticking a pin in a map.

Just food for thought ?

very interesting soap box queen. TBH I am not really interested in results- they both do above average with quite a deprived intake so are good schools but both saw a change of leadership in the last year so just looking for any dips.
