Right school for dyslexic 7 year old boy in North West London

My boy is currently attending a very good faith school. Everyone seems very happy about the school as it is one of the best in North West London with outstanding reports and results and all... but my son is extremely unhappy.
He is slightly dyslexic and the school doesn't do anything - just promises but at the end, I am left alone to help him. He feels discouraged and is starting to behave "naughty" as a resut.
He is very creative and smart (extremely high IQ) and I can't stand anymore seeing him mortified.
Anyone knows first hand a local school (state or private, NW3) that has a history of valuing dyslexic children in an effective but relaxed way? He doen't need a school specific for dyslexia, I think. He just needs a school that could see the positive and bright side of his mind...

You need to be a lot more specific about what you actually want from the school. You say he has "mild dyslexia", and the school " doesn't do anything". Why do you expect them to do something? What do you expect them to do? I get the impression from your post that dyslexia isn't an issue at all. If you could leave that to one side, and articulate to the school exactly what it is that you are unhappy about, you would have a basis to start a negotiation, either with his current school, or any new one you consider.

Just some thoughts
Both of my DS aged 6 (Yr2) 10 (Yr6) are dyslexic
They are in an academic prep in West London

They have at least one session a week with Learning Support working on phonics e.g. Phonological Awareness Training or Toe by Toe.
DS2 does fewer spellings than his classmates and they are often focussed on non decodable words or a particular sound or pattern.
DS1 is doing a touch typing programme before school so he can move on to using a laptop.
DS2 has an extra times tables class before school.
Teachers have accepted me acting as a scribe for some homework.

Both mine are bright, we have had them formally diagnosed with dyslexia and the EP tested their IQ but its taken until Yr 6 for DS1 to start performing consistently near his level of ability. It does seem to take a sustained period of intervention to make a long term difference. DS1 was a poor reader in YR-Yr2 but half way through Yr3 it suddenly clicked and now he reads ahead of his age.

Whilst I can't recommend a school I thought it might give you some ideas of what a school can or should offer and also to say that it can be a bit of a long haul to get your child performing at their true ability level. The EP we saw, said that she felt there was often a need for a certain sustained level of intervention then the child would make a leap forward, its not necessarily a linear process.
