Pros & Cons of v small private primary esp class size

Concerned re friendship groups, sports etc whether it'd be too limiting in a class of about 10. Hoping academic advantage in terms of more direct teacher time. Thoughts & experiences please?

Both schools are similar in size so I would choose which one suits my child best, but I am not keen on combined year groups in one class as I have experienced that with one of my children and it wasn't ideal for me so that would probably sway my decision.
