Absolute sense...not just against Gove but against the whole culture of tuition, excessive pressure on primary school children (in particular) to "achieve" and artificial academic competition instead of nurturing joy of learning. Against the whole horrible parental one-upmanship of people who feel validated by their 'intelligent' child. Against the whole idea that children feel the need to work to achieve levels rather than learning for the sake of learning and reaching their potential.
And most of all against the fear that sets in if you let your child play rather than schedule every minute of their day, that somehow they will 'miss out' or 'fall behind'.
Desperately wanted to post this on those 3+ (!!!!!) tutor threads that exist, but thought it might be a touch inflammatory
