School Fundraising - Pocket money toys

I have been scouring the internet for good pocket money toys for a summer fair stall and lucky dip prizes. I am looking for things that cost around 20p to buy and can be sold for 30-50p. I would consider selling things for up to £1 though but I have hit a wall. Whats the best seller at your school fair?

Have you tried Hawkins Bazaar ?

The sweety lucky dip is always a winner. Paper cup sent home for parents to fill with wrapped sweets (usually from Home Bargains or Lidl) then they're sold using raffle tickets - 20p a ticket and if your ticket ends in 5 or 0 you win a pot. Leftovers just sold off at the end.
I hate the pocket money toys as they break within 5 seconds and go in the bin on the way home. Much prefer to let mine spend a pound winning sweets, eat them, then clean their teeth.

You could also try contacting your local supermarket chains. They have a budget for local charities (at least they used to) and a couple of years ago I received about £40 in vouchers from Waitrose, Sainsburys and Tesco, which I used to buy sweets and chocolates for a tombola.

Please choose carefully OP. My kids come home with piles of useless plastic junk from the school fete, much of which goes straight in the bin. Their sustainability policy seems to go right out of the window when it comes to raising money for the school.

I agree with Harriet, the sweetie cup is a definite winner !
