Hubby's company would like us to move to London in 2014.
If we did, we would likely arrive so the kiddies can start the new school year in Sep 2014.

In Sep 2014 or kids will be:
Daughter- 11 years old - going into year 7 (which from what Im reading will make it tough for her to get in somewhere, but we'll do it).
Son1 - 9 - year 6
Son2 - 6 - year 2
Son3 - 4 - prep (or whatever it's called).

The company will pay for schooling and housing.
I understand that the most expensive doesn't always mean the best....
Our kids are quite sporty.

If anyone has an tips on schools and areas to love, that would be fab!! ??
I am researching and researching, but there are so many options!!

showme Point taken but the same would apply at any selective school for scholarships. They use scholarships to get the most able / talented. It is as much a marketing tool at LEH as Surbiton. The only annoyance is when a sporty girl gets a scholarship and then disrupts lessons because they can't keep up Hmm And then they get talent spotted to unis as well, including even US unis, because the practise doesn't stop with secondary schools...................

And I really do know expats who Surbiton provided a place to when nowhere else could and have been very pleased especially with the supportive atmosphere that has helped them to make the adjustment to the different culture (don't guffaw at the idea that Australia is a different culture because believe me for a teenage girls it is) .

Interesting comments on SHS ladies.
Thank you for sharing!
Will look forward to visiting it when I'm over.

We will likely live in Wimbledon I think.
Shall determine which school is best for DD after I visit the ones that potentially have space.....

Will also be interesting to see how different things are from a cultural point of view.
Us Aussies are originally from the UK after all...... Wink

Hi, I just noticed this thread in active convos, and that Ibstock is mentioned.

I have a son there, and he is very happy. Are you still considering this school?

I did contact them and they said that the deadline for registration had passed, and to check back in with them in mid march to see if there's space.
