yr 7 in year school appeal

My son is currently in year 7 and I'm wanting to do an inyear transfer to a local grammar school. He's just done the entrance test and passed but of course the school is full. We've had the form sent for appeal to send back within 14 days but I'm not sure how much detail to give.

The form asks basic details about him and then give reasons why your son would like to attend this school. I do have plenty of good reasons to give but at this stage should I also say why I think they might have space - although obviously I won't get the schools reasons until 7 days before the appeal hearing? Should I just give our personal reasons and then give the arguments for them (hopefully, fingers crossed!) having space at the actual hearing.

Very grateful for all advice here, as so far I've put bullet points headings in and brief details. I don't want to waffle too much as I don't think it helps to get to 'fluffy'.

Give your arguments as to why your son needs to attend this school. Don't worry about why it won't cause the school problems. You can deal with that in the hearing, mainly by questioning the school's representative after they've presented their case for refusing admission.
