Does anyone have first hand experience/knowledge of this school? - considering the move in Aug/Sep. Also, any help/advice for living in Zug would be much appreciated..

School year will start around 3rd week of August so would suggest you are in situ for that and preferably before as familiarisation and meet ups often happen before the official start . ISZL has changed since we lived over there. Back then it was a much smaller, British-run establishment which has since merged with other schools, become an official IB school and is spread over several sites .

Don't feel you have to live in Zug , kids commute from all around and there is a school bus network. Where will work be based and do you have the services of a relocation agent to help narrow down accommodation options? There are local expat sites which give you advice form those living there now such as groups.yahoo.com/group/Expat-Moms-In-Switzerland/

Hi Wonderprone... I'm writing on behalf of ISOCS - The International School of Central Switzerland. ISOCS is an alternative option to ISZL. Both schools have a great reputation but if you are looking for a smaller school and/or are located in Cham, ISOCS is an excellent option. You can learn more about ISCOS on the web: www.isocs.ch

One more thing I meant to add...

Here are a couple resources for living in Zug which you might find helpful:

Fachstelle Migration Zug has a Welcome Desk which can answer any of your questions (www.zug.ch/behoerden/org-mit-leistungsauftrag/fsm/international/english-1). They also produce a 20 page Warm Welcome .pdf (www.zug.ch/behoerden/org-mit-leistungsauftrag/fsm/international/english-1/welcome-to-zug/at_download/file_pdf)

Kanton Zug runs a website with several topics relevant to newcomers. (www.zug.ch/international/english/individuals)

Zug4You.ch maintains an About Zug section on their website. (zug4you.ch/about_zug.html)
