Nursery Costs

Let's do a survey. A full-time (07.45 - 18.00) nursery place around where we live costs approximately 12.5k per year. This is in the South.

Just wondering what it costs others on here?

Maybe I should have added that the above nursery is open 51 weeks a year...

full time 8.00 to 6.00 nurser in Edinburgh 13k a year for under 3s, includes meals snacks and nappies.

Bristol outskirts - Babies/toddler £12 600 , nursery - £11 400 for 51 weeks 8am-6pm. All food included.

£15860 up to £16830 including nappies and wipes local to me, not London either.

Central Scotland £13700 8am-6pm snacks included, no meals, no nappies.

Maybe this would be better in the childcare board.

I think now that there's few people (here anyway) that actually use a fulltime nursery place. Lots of people work part-time, shifts, flexible hours or grandparents help out.

£11k ish here for over 3s. With food included. Not London either.

Under 2s is £9600 here, I think, but I'm doubting my maths looking at the other figures. £40 a day, 48 weeks, 5 days a week.

Includes meals, snacks and nappies. And milk if they are still having bottles.

My children are older, but out of all the families I knew when they were little only one or two could afford nursery: most went for childminders because they were cheaper.
