Does anyone know? Am in Hampshire.

Also, any idea how to find an Ed. Psych. to do one?

It depends on how much work they do, but from £500 to £1500 I believe.

Word of mouth works well - why do you need a report?

Startail · 11/03/2013 00:12

I paid £200 6 years ago in the midlands so £500+ in the Home Counties wouldn't surprise me.

Was it worth it, I'm not sure school panicked almost the same week.
SATs focused their minds and they finally twigged she's dyslexic.

This had been blinding obvious for 5 years!

Certainly the report meant, I've never had any trouble with the senior school, but their SENCOs have some sense.

I had to get an assessment done for DS and the lovely ladies of MN pointed me to this website.

I think we paid about £650 in Oxfordshire three years ago.

If you give an idea of why you need the report it might help with recommendations.

Our DDs were assessed at the Helen Arkyll Centre near Farnham, they are dyslexic, last report just over a year ago as required by the exam boards to justify extra time was £400 approx.

We had two quotes 5 years ago of £300 & £450 per child (two now diagnosed dyslexic teens). Went with the £300 and it was money well spent. We are in South East

lisson · 14/03/2013 22:13

I was quoted today £930.

ThePigOfHappiness · 14/03/2013 22:19

Wow huge variety. I'm in Ireland and luckily we are going through the school is free. If we went through the dyslexia association it would be around ?400, privately around ?4000 I believe.
If I can hijack your thread, can those who have had an assessment done have a look at my thread please and thank you Blush it's unanswered for ages and the assessment is tomorrow! Thanks

Happiness You might want to check this thread out www.mumsnet.com/Talk/education/1621598-Educational-psychologist

There seems to be an assumption from most posters that the OP wants an EP assessment in relation to dyslexia but she has given no indication of that, we for example used an EP to support our case at Tribunal. OP if you come back and tell us it might help.

Mendi · 15/03/2013 23:31

Thanks and yes, it's not dyslexia, it's a maths-based difficulty - not sure if there's a word for that?
