My ds went for 2 terms but thought it was too much like school.(?)I on the other hand thought it was great he wwas the lead in the xmas production and it was hilarious.I think the majority of girls put him off.|Very well organised though and the staff were sooooooooo enthusiastic

Hi, my 5 year old daughter goes every Saturday morning and loves it, they do dressing up days and end of term mini shows for her age group, the staff are very keen and it definitely helps with confidence and speach, I would recommend giving it a go, definitely a professional outfit! :)

I know of a few children who have been to these classes and a couple of teacher who have taught there.

The main gist I have got is that they are fun and good for confidence but when WharfRat used the word "identikit" she was spot on.

The syllabus is quite prescribed which doesn;t leave as much room for creativity. The teachers are told what to teach rather than using their own skills or going off on a tangent if a student comes up with an inspirational idea.

As with anything the best thing is to go and visit and see what you think yourself.

dd used to do drama at school and was excellent at it, but this year we part home-ed so have gone to Helen O'Grady instead.
She loves it and has fun, but it's more a 'confidence building' exercise than proper drama I think, so next year, when she's old enough to join one of the very good theatre groups here, she will, because she has no problem with confidence and has a good strong voice.
Her teacher is very nice but I also find all the gushing over the top....
I think it's better for young children up to 5, and children who need a boost of confidence
