I was wondering if anyone could give me any insight to this school. We are going to attend the open day on the 29th September but would like to speak to other parents whose children attend or have attended this school.

Thanks. Smile

I have a friend whose son went there, they were very happy with it.

I went there! Obviously it's much too long ago to be of any help to you, but it was a very nice place to go to school.

Illbewithyouinaminute · 09/09/2012 19:11

It seems to be a marmite school. You go to the open day and fall in love with the place/you go to the open day and vow that your child will never attend.

Sporty children of varying academic abilities are the ones I know to attend.

We've visited and although it wasn't right for our kids, it seemed to be a lovely place - has a good reputation for doing well with all sorts of kids....SEN upwards.

I went there too! And loved every second of it. T'was about a billion years ago though. It has a good reputation locally at the moment.

If anyone wants to PM any inside info or anything they wouldn't like to put on a public forum please do. Wink

swimming very good - swimming teachers are fantastic.

my friend just got her two in at drastically reduced rates so it might be a school where you don't necessarily need to pay full price.

janeyjampot · 23/09/2012 20:43

It's the location for the 'Only Fools & Horses' chandelier episode - always useful when you're struggling for conversation :)

sailorsgal · 26/09/2012 13:27

pootle thats good to know. Their fees are quite a bit higher than where we are and £80 a week for the bus. Shock

Hi! I just wondered how you found Clayesmore at the weekend? We are thinking about it too. Thank you!

justamum123 · 04/11/2014 21:33

My son goes to Clayesmore - He has changed for the better, grades gone up, become more interested in sport again, and quite frankly has been the best thing I ever did, yes you can get a bursary but any private school is still costly. However, it has been worth it. Good luck

sailorsgal · 07/11/2014 13:14

I started this thread quite some time ago but it is a school I would consider further down the road when ds finishes prep.

Hi, We are looking for a boarding school for our daughter aged 13 and wondered if anyone has any knowledge of Clayesmore senior school?
Looking for good SEN support and excellent pastoral care.
Any inför will be more welcome.

Anymore info on this school. Relocating from Bahamas and have our two boys down for Millfield.. then was looking at Bryanston (so expensive !) and then was recommended this school. Two sporty boys - one very academic and the other very dyslexic! Please any feedback please!!
