PFB starting soon, PE kit question

PFB will start school soon, so we have been asked to drop off PE kits next week so they are there for the first day.

Please bare with me I've never done this before and come from a neglected background so have never done the PE kit thing before.

I'm having a mini meltdown trying to make sure everything is 'right' for her as it wasn't done for me.

Do I include socks? uniform list doesn't say PE socks, but on the days she wears tights will she need some socks in the kit or is it just plimsoles with no socks?

We had to provide socks it was assumed we would guess that in infants we would need short navy socks in juniors the blue bumble bee hockey socks are on the list.

I would pop a pair of socks in, then they're there even if they don't get used. I wouldn't like to wear plimsolls on bare feet, especially if they were all sweaty from being in tights.

Don't worry :) All schools are different so I'm sure there will be other parents who are confused. Just ask the staff if you're worried about anything, I'm sure they'll help.

I put socks into PE bag, I also put a couple of spare pairs of pants (incase of any accidents). Just make sure it's all named!

Thanks, socks in PE kit it is then. I just want everything to be right for her but don't want people to realise I'm paranoid about missing something.

I'll add pants aswell. Thanks Doris Smile

Good point Euphemia - OP a good way of doing this is to draw half a smiley face inside each shoe, so that when placed together they make a whole one. Makes more sense than L/R for a child who may not know letters, or left and right reliably yet.

Spare socks are always a good idea.

Small DDs have a talent for finding puddles and falling over destroying tights. Dry socks are therefore useful even if they do PE in bare feet.
