Mentoring in London

I had no idea where to post this so sorry if i have it all wrong. I used to always try to do my bit for charity, I have a thing about karma and treat people how you'd like to be treated etc. unfortunately since having ds I don't have time for sponsored runs and I definitely don't have any extra finances. Yesterday I was chatting to a client at work who said she was mentoring a troubled teen and found it very rewarding. I think it's perfect for me since I really believe everyone has a second chance in life, I'd know the progress of my own efforts and I was a terrible teen myself mixing with the wrong crowds, doing all the wrong things but I was lucky to come out ok in the end (I think) live in east London so that sort of thing is definitely available around here but could anyone point me in the right direction... Where do I start?

Have a look at the Young Minds website, I think they have a mentoring programme

Kids Company

Thank you mrsrobert... Kids company is exactly what I was looking for! Stuffedfull youngminds is doing some amazing things but I'd never feel qualified to work with such sensitive cases Sad
