University advice for a late twenties mum...

I am working full time in a large corporate organisation and although this is very demanding, as well as motherhood, I really want to study for a degree.

I can't afford to give up my job, & part time work isn't an option.

Can anyone offer any advice on the options available to me and fees involved?

Thank you in advance!

Have a look at the open university. Ive nearly finished my degree, it's taken me 6 years and Ive had ds2 in that time. I didn't work full time though, part time up until ds2 was born. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

have you looked into what you would be entitled to in terms of student loan, grants, bursery and benifits if you where to do full time? you may be surprised and part time work would not affect student grants a massive amount.

If you're in London you could go to Birkbeck College which is part of the University of London but does evening only classes?

Does it have to be a degree? They are expensive and with motherhood taking up a lot of your spare time it can you quite a few years to complete the course.

Depending on your subject there are various one year evening courses that you can take which will enhance your career prospects. This is of course assuming that career development is your objective. I thinking of accounting technician courses and IT courses.
