OFSTED Notice to improve - implications?

A local school has just been told by OFSTED that they have been given a 'notice to improve'. The head has walked out, apparently.

What happens next? Is this the same thing as 'special measures' or better/worse? Is there a chance of them closing the school?

I do, actually. Why isn't information about pupil expenditure and income displayed conveniently on the DfE performance tables as it is for maintained schools.

No idea. It does seem to be for some academies but not others. That is a complete mystery to me.

By the way, now that academies are subject to the FoI act, I think you should be able to get this kind of information from them for free. You may, of course, have to complain to the ICO if they refuse but the ICO's guidance is pretty clear.

Rosebud05
the accounts are free through the Duedil site I linked to
BUT they are statutory accounts so not very informative
AND
the accounts of a school are only really valuable when compared with others to judge what is unusual
