What is is like to be a Geography Teacher?

Thinking of doing a PGCE in this subject. Would you teachers out there recommend it?

Yeha Migsy I can confirm the NQT salary is going to be the same however much exp you have; a pal doing GTP with me who has masses of relevant science exp and who swore he wouldn't take a job at at the lowest level has infact accepted one.

There's maybe a chance of increments ove the next few years tho. Good luck!

Agree with clary and others, i had a PhD, in highly relevant subject and around 8 years of teaching post 18 in the same (allegedly shortage) subject. Started my NQT job on MPS1 Hmm, though did persuade next school to bump me up 1 level.
