Anyone know anything about this school? It talks the talk well but what's beneath the surface?

We have just put it down as achoice for dd (starts next september). Went to see it recently. We were taken around by the head master, have to say we were very impressed. Judging by the "catchment area" (if you live further away than nether street prob won't get in) I'd say there must be something good about it.

i've heard it is a very good school

chicagomum, we were impressed by the Head's talk. I just wondered whether he was over selling or whether it was really that good. Any idea which roads count as surefire safe in terms of the catchment? Also, were you surprised when he said the PTA raised around £40,000 a year? I thought that was a huge amount and wondered whether it might give the PTA too much power in the school/make them a bit clique if you were a mum who wasn't in the PTA?

Sorry got wrong school

I was thinking of Frithwood Primary School, in Northwood

crowcall · 13/01/2006 12:08

Don't worry Kanga, all the different schools are getting to be a bit of a blur for me too.

In the light of the other thread about primary school expectations, I would still be interested to hear from existing parents at Frith Manor. Do the warm feelings generated by the Head's talk to new parents last? eg by year 3/4 are you still happy with the school academic and extra curricular provision?
