Playground yob - a Mummy!!

Yesterday, waiting for DS to wander out of school, a large scary Mummy with Pink Hair tore up to Yr6 boy (whose Mum would never collect him) shouting "XXX, if you ever lay another finger on my XXX, then I'll send his cousin down hear to beat you up"

Now, DS says the 2 boys had a fight that day, & knowing both of them, either could have started it, but to act like that as an adult is surely not on!

Would you report it? If boy tells his Mum, don't think she'll care - she's that sort of Mum

Yes, I would definitely report it.
My eldest dd had a similar experience when she was 10 or 11. Another child's parents (who was in school for a completely unrelated matter) saw dd and her friend and chased them into the girls loos and yelled and swore at them that if they ever went near her daughter again she'd make sure they never saw their next birthdays. Tbh I think she would have physically assaulted them too if they hadn't had the presence of mind to lock themselves into one of the cubicles.
Headteacher of the school knew about it and spoke to the mother afterwards but didn't think it necessary to let me know. It was only by chance that other girl's mother saw her at lunchtime and told me what had happened. Headteacher also refused to inform the police ( we did ourselves later) and told me that I couldn't expect my child to be completely safe at school.
The police were great, took it very seriously and warned the woman about her behaviour, which I think (and hope) made her realise that what she had done was bang out of order.

I think that even if the boy's own mum doesn't report it, someone should (even anonymously) and that someone should have a word with this scary mummy just so that she realises that her behaviour isn't on.

DS said one of his friends Mums is going to speak to Head as Scary Mummy also had a "word" with him on way home!

Thing is - she IS scary - bright pink hair, facial piercings, large build etc etc

I once saw two very respectable, prim-looking Asian women having a fight in the fruit and veg aisle of our local supermarket. They were flinging fruit at each other and everything
Must say it was quite hilarious.
