Please - we have listed common multiples of 5 and 10. Now we have to fill in 'These are called co----. As my daughter's homework book is a different series to her school textbook, she is not currently doing the same work in home and school. (This is Ireland, so we are not always logical about reinforcement!) Any ideas for the missing word?

are the -s the missing letters?

stleger · 15/12/2005 21:18

Yes! Four of them, but that could be a misprint.

common?

spacedonkey · 15/12/2005 21:23

I agree with "common"

If it fits it can't be wrong! DD gets a night of homework if she gets seven all corrects in a row, so this is vital! Thanks a million (Multiple of 10, 100, 1000 etc.)

"A common multiple is a number that is a multiple of two or more numbers. The common multiples of 3 and 4 are 0, 12, 24, .... "

Never heard of it myself (A level Maths), but I googled "common multiple".

I think a night of homework is a bit unfair. A night off, on the other hand...
