What type of after school clubs does your primary have?

We need some new after school clubs at our primary school. I need inspiration please.

Cooking, drama, music, multisport, football, field hockey, surfing (yes, surfing!), karate, art.
Talk of netball, too. Off the top of my head.

Just been looking at the list of clubs for this year at DD's school. They can chose from (what I can remember anyway, DD is still choosing):

I am sure there two or three new clubs in addition to this but can't remember which ones!

Some run on more than one occasion during the week, or the age groups might be split.

Sports club
Adran (Welsh language club, mostly craft activities plus recitation/singing etc for the eisteddfod)

Wow I am totally amazed at some of the things your schools offer. Ours literally has netball and arts and they are not available to all years. It is so crap. Glad a change is coming!

I think Hula's child is at a private primary, hence the larger selection...
Just remembered we've also had Eco-club, gardening, sewing, recorder & choir club at our school in past (a few lunchtime, but most after 3pm).
All ran by staff (overwhelmingly TAs with own DC at the same school). Most the clubs are free.

Yes Dd's is an independent primary. Not big though, about 100 girls. All staff run at least one club I think and the music ones are linked to music lessons and/or orchestra and choir that all of juniors are involved in.

Oh and we pay for the clubs bar the music type ones linked as above. They are about £4.50 a week, for an hour's club.

MadameD thanks for the Lego League link. Never heard of it but going to make sure DS's school does . He's at one of the schools where no male teaching staff.....

We have 3 male staff (out of 11!). Both of my primary-age DC have male teachers this year. I reckon they deserve credit for getting specialists in to teach sport, getting all the teachers to join in the school Fun-Run, and having a Table Tennis match at Dinnertime with each man's class cheering (and the other male teacher acting as referee). Feel very lucky (esp., as a mother of 3 boys).

Ok I am going to make a big list to submit. I'm interested that some of your clubs charge. Noone would pay at our school I think though it is well heeled.

Our infants (up to Yr 2) have:
yoga, football, tennis, karate, jazzdance, streetdance, ballet, drama, cookery.

Lunchtime - ocarinas, choir, recorders, french, spanish

Don't know what the junior school have, but it definitely includes scouts.

Yoga OMG - we wish!

sunflower - an external company introduced it - did a taster session when ds was in reception - which he really enjoyed and wanted to do when he got into Yr1. Its run by Yogabugs. They do stories and weave the yoga poses in - but the movements are a lot quicker (more like wayballo, but with a story connecting the movements).

Just had clubs letter for this term. some clubs run for a term at a time, others all year. Some are lunchtime, others after school.

Altogether, we have:

KS1: art, choir, gardening, recorder, skipping, football, tennis, basketball, french.
KS2: cross country running, football, spanish, chess, choir, recorder, art, athletics, sewing, zumba, Hi5, drama, science, rugby, street dance and film

Most are run by teachers and are free, but most of the sports and french are run by external organisations and cost. State school, two form entry.

Our little chruch school offers; Fun club (crafts for KS1), art club.
Football, karate, sports club. Cooking, choir, jewelry making.
Also has externally run French and science club.
Our PTA also offers bursuries for the children who's parents can't afford to pay for them.
