I currently work in a low-paid role, which is so boring it's actually hindering my recovery from PTSD
I've just been abroad for a week with 6 teenagers (youth club trip) so i know I can handle higher stress levels. After years of people telling me I'd be good at it, I'm finally considering a PGCE in Secondary Music.
My question is: Would it be better to spend one year at my highly respected local uni, with DP supporting me fully (ie value beans and no long trips to see mates) having given up work, or try to keep working (bear in mind the pittance and boredom) and go through the OU?
I'll ring up the whoever people next week to find out what I'm entitled to. If I can get my tuition fees paid and a contribution to the mortgage/bills, hopefully we'll be in a position to go ahead.
I have six years experience in SEN, so a year or two of hardship will have financial rewards later...
