At the start of yr1 in Sept DT had a hard time settling in.Teacher saw us several times about things he was saying, silly behaviour etc.

I spoke to her on Friday and we agreed that from Monday he would gain a sticker each section of the day (a total of 7 in the day). Yesterday he an;t brilliant but got not one single sticker and was upset by this. Today he aparently was dreadful. He came home with a "behaviour book" with One smily face and the rest sad faces. So i asked himif he got a sticker for his smily face and he said no.

I feel like she's just no giving him any slack or chances to do right. He's not perfect (but very very good at home) but what should I do next.

last night he toldme he is silly to get back in XXXX's class (his twin).

I'm at a loss for what to try. They already have the ed psych booked to come in.

Just a suggestion perhaps he is stuggle to find his own person rather than 1/2 of a twin. From what you say he seems to be okay until he is reminded that he is 1/2 of a twin (at playtime etc).

I have little experience with twins but after breaktimes seem to be starting point for the trouble.

By the way if you did put him back with his twin would he feel his bad behaviour would be rewarded by what he wants?

I dn;t think th eschool wouod consider it but yes, Id be worried that if he got what he wanted through bad behaviour that would be a bad lesson for him to learn.

When he toldme he was silly to get back into XXXXX's class, I toldhim that his bad behaviour would not get him that.

We constantly build him up, he tells us he is good, clever, the best at building etc but I believe he doesn;t always understand his actions.

At 6/7 thats not really surprising. I'm 32 and I don't always understand my actions. I must be very hard for you because we always want our children to behave perfectly and when situations like this happen its not always clear what is the best course of action.
