Long term supply teachers - do you get PPA?

That's it really. I'm covering a Year R/1/2 class from tomorrow until summer, and am doing weekly planning for maths/lit etc - well most things except science and PE. Obviously marking etc as well, and as it's a tiny school doing my own resources/laminating no doubt.

I'm off to trawl a union website but wanted to know what others get or have got before I speak to the head.

Yes at our school all teachers from year group PPA together even supply

You are entitled to 10% of your teaching time each week.
We have a member of staff who works one day a week and gets PPA (30 mins)

I work as a supply teacher and you should get PPA on long term supply. If working for an agency you would also get a higher daily rate to reflect the extra work required. HTH

Well I have my PPA - quite a novelty for me! It's Friday afternoon this week which suits me just fine. ConstantlyCooking, I no longer work for an agency as they take such a huge percentage of the daily rate - about 40% in my case. I work fewer days over the year, but I do get the LEA daily rate.
