Im a bit stuck!

I am finally getting my backside into gear and gaining some qualifications to help me into work in a few years time.
The problem is I just cannot decide what I want to do!
I have just finished a Level 1 and 2 English and Maths GCSE (A Grade)
I figure until I decide i should get a range of basic qualifications and certificates.

So I think I should do something in IT as I have been told is is good to have on a CV.

Any advice on how to decide what to do and what not to do?

Agree that a basic range of quals sound useful but the journey may be more fun if you had an idea what to do with it?

Could you afford a couple of life coaching sessions? It would help narrow the field down.

You might enjoy Dick Bolles' classic book "What Color Is Your Parachute?" It's full of exercises to help you go even further in working out what sorts of things matter to you in a career. It also has good advice on finding out more about the day-to-day reality of any career which interests you and how to get into it, namely by networking.

According to Amazon reviews, the more recent editions focus less on choosing a career and more on interview tactics etc, so perhaps it's better to seek out an old one. Your library may have it.
