how does my dd find the lowest common multiple of 144 and 100? she's forgotten

But thats the lowest common denominator, not multipler. The 1st thing sh'ell have to do is multiply the 2. That will be a multiple of both the numbers. Then she can try halving that number to see if that alsoo is a multiple of 144 and 100 (it will have a 00 as the last 2 digits if it is a multiple of 100 and she can see if it is divisible by 144 as well. She can keep halving the number and checking that it can still be divided by those 2 numbers until it can't be any more and that would be the lowest common multiple.

Having written all of that, someone has probably come along and answered it far more susinctly already.

Can't she just multiply 144 by numbers until she gets a round hundred number?
