can anyone give me any ideas pllleeeaaaase?

i presume they have very little expereince, some of them haven't attended school before. and our resources are minimal

Glass painting - (on acetates not glass)
You'll need the pens and the acetate. Maybe some pictures to trace (from a colouring in book maybe?)

Making paperboxes (I like the ones with a different inside and outside colour)

Papermachie bowls (not sure if you have enough time for this)

PS not a teacher - so ideas may be cr*p - sorry

glass painting has got me thinking along the lines of shrink plastic. we could do key rings.

paper mache isn't do-able as i won't be seeing them for this session for some weeks by which time most/many of them will have moved on.

boxes are a little too girlie and young.

it is weighted towards boys in the group.
well s'pose they are men really

Puppets out of cork bottles
Juggling balls made out of balloons & rice (great if someone can juggle and show them)

That thing with baking powder & vinegar (always impresses- not cdt tho')

Cars out of junk with elastic bands to make them go

DD's class did something with water and plungers to make "robots" move....most of them opened their mouths but could your boys do more?

Animal masks with pneumatic tongues! A balloon in the mouth with syringe attached to make it low up. (Too many resources? You could use empty washing up bottles instead of syringes).

Polystyrene ceiling tiles. Draw a shape/pattern with a pencil (press hard), then use the tile to print onto fabric. We did it by drawing round our hands. You can then join all the squares of fabric together to make a fabulous wall hanging.
